Public input sought at housing opportunity meetings

Salem, OR – September 16, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — Starting next week, Oregonians will have a chance to help shape how Oregon Housing and Community Services implements funding received from House Bill 2436 at public forums held throughout the state. HB 2436 establishes fees for recording of documents in county deed and mortgage records. The amounts collected will go to OHCS to fund the department’s housing programs.

The forums are scheduled for:

  • Roseburg, 1-4 p.m., Monday, Sept. 21
    Douglas County Commissioners’ Chambers
    Room 216

  • Bend, 1-4 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 23
    Deschutes County Government Building
    Barnes Sawyer Room

  • Pendleton, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 24
    Pendleton Parks and Recreation Center
