PORTLAND, Ore. – December 19, 2008 – (RealEstateRama) – Jeff Bachrach has been reelected for a third year as chair of the Housing Authority of Portland’s Board of Commissioners.
Bachrach, a Portland lawyer specializing in land development and real estate, noted that HAP has a particularly ambitious agenda for 2009, including its role as the developer of the $40-million Resource Access Center in Old Town and its ongoing efforts to preserve and expand its portfolio of social housing.
“The current economic crisis will increase the need for HAP housing and supportive services,” Bachrach said, “making it that much more important that HAP, the city, and our other partners find ways to efficiently manage and leverage our resources. ”
Other HAP officers elected for 2009 are Lee Moore, general manager of Clackamas River Water, as vice-chair, and Harriet Cormack, a community leader, as treasurer.
